Rotary is committed to developing the next generation of leaders. Through various programs, we help young people develop leadership skills, expand their educational opportunities, and appreciate the importance of service.
Interact Clubs
Interact brings together young people aged 12–18 to develop leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of the world through service projects. The LOHS and LHS Interact Clubs organize at least two projects each year, one benefiting their school or local community and one that promotes international understanding. The Rotary Club sponsors and guides Interactors as they plan and implement these initiatives.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
RYLA is a leadership development program for young people ages 14–30 who are eager to build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun. Events range from one-day seminars to weeklong camps and include activities, presentations, and workshops covering a variety of leadership and personal development topics.
Rotary Youth Exchange
Rotary Youth Exchange fosters peace and global understanding, one student at a time. This program offers students ages 15–19 the opportunity to live and study abroad, immerse themselves in a new culture, and become global citizens.
These are just a few of the impactful programs supported by our Youth Services Committee.
The Youth Services Committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM. For more information, please follow this LINK to the contact form and note that your communication is for the Youth Service Committee.
