Applications for the World Affairs Seminar are OPEN for submission!
A fully-funded Lake Oswego Rotary scholarship
This is a one-week convention from Saturday, June 24rd to Friday, June 30th at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukie, WI. Teens from all over the world – 30 countries – although primarily from the U.S. who are in their sophomore and junior years in high school will meet to hear experts speak, discuss in small groups, take field trips, and complete a Capstone project for a life changing cultural and educational experience.
Students from Lakeridge and LOHS are eligible to participate in the 42nd World Affairs Seminar held in Waukesha, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukie. The cost of the transportation and Seminar including food and shuttles to Carroll University are paid in full by the Lake Oswego Rotary. Students will interact with their peers from around the world. Ideal candidates will be either sophomores or juniors in good academic standing with an interest in global issues.
The topic, The Perils and Promise of Social Media is of increased importance in today’s world. No one is better qualified to solve the global issues around social media than your children.
